Women's Ministry

Is a vital and growing ministry within our congregation that strives to enhance and enrich the lives of
women. The ministry aspires to meet the physical, intellectual, emotional, and spiritual needs of women. The
ministry challenges woman to become empowered women of God through strengthening their personal
relationship with Jesus Christ. We embrace the right of every woman to serve God by examining and using
her spiritual gifts. We embrace the right of every woman to become spirit-filled leaders in God’s army of
one. Come out and join us on Wednesday’s for our bible study hour.

Men Ministry

Is a vital and growing ministry giving all men a chance to express their faith in service while in fellowship
with other men. The men are thus empowered to be men of God in the church, at their workplace, and in
their homes. The Disciples Men have regular breakfast and fish fry’s. Come and join us on Thursday
evenings for our men’s bible study.

Prayer Ministry

Is a weekly expression of our belief in the miracle working power of prayer. A committed group of prayer
warriors gather each Tuesday evening at 6’o clock to offer prayer on behalf of the whole. They pray for
specific prayer concerns but also engage in study that allows them to understand the awesome power of
prayer in our lives. We there is little prayer there is little power. Where there is much prayer there is much
power.

Young Adult Ministry

Allows persons a safe place to explore their relationship with the Savior while having fun with members of
their peer group. Because young adulthood is a crucial transition between youth and young adult hood we
strive to find ways in which ESSCC young adults can use their gifts for the up building of the kingdom.

Senior Adult Ministry

Seeks ways to honor and utilize the gifts for ministry held by our senior saints. Each member of the
ministry team actively engages their wisdom and insights in the planning and implementation of our
ministries. Senior saints are recognized on several special days each year but are embraced by all members
each and every day.

Children & Youth Ministry

Are a dynamic part of our witness as Christians. The children and youth ministry programs of ESSCC are
designed to equip our young people with the tools to grow into healthy mature Christians. They participate
in a variety of spiritual formation activities including 3:30 P.R.A.I.S.E. , weekly worship, summer camp,
Bible Studies, and local, regional, and general assemblies. In addition, ESSCC children and youth regularly
participate in programs sponsored by the KCMC and the National Convocation.

Bus Ministry

Is to promote the life of Jesus Christ thru it presence and to model ESSCC’s spirit of community by
transporting members and others to Sunday service and various church-related events. The church owns
one 15-passenger vans and transports members to the 8:30 a.m. and 11:00 Sunday worship services and to
other church events. However, on occasion members are transported to the doctor, to visit the sick and
shut in, and to home going services.
