PASTOR DONALD K. GILLETT, II Pastor Gillett came to East Second Street Christian Church in the summer of 1999. He grew up in Chicago, IL and is a graduate of Jarvis Christian College (BS/Math), McCormick Theological Seminary (MDIV) and is currently pursuing his Doctorate of Ministry at Lexington Theological Seminary. Pastor Gillett is married to Dr. Charisse Gillett, the moderator of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in the US and Canada. They have one son Jeremy and one granddaughter Jayda. |

REVEREND SHAUNA MCGHEE Rev. McGhee became the Assistant Pastor in the fall of 2004. She grew up in Cleveland, OH, and is a graduate of Kentucky State University (BS/Elementary Education) and Lexington Thelogical Seminary (MDIV). Rev. McGhee is also Staff Consultant for Anti-Racism/Pro-Reconciliation to the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in Kentucky. Rev. McGhee enjoys singing, and fellowshipping, and loves her dog Gizzi. |

MINISTER DIKIEA CLOYD Minister Cloyd accepted her call to ministry in December 2003. She is a native Lexingtonian and is a graduate of University of Kentucky (BA/Social Work) and is currently working on her Master of Divinity degree at the Lexington Theological Seminary. Minister Cloyd is active as an ecumenical representative with the Kentucky Council of Churches. Minister Cloyd has one son Douglass, Jr. She enjoys drawing, painting, poetry and singing. |

DR. CHARISSE GILLETT Dr. Gillett accepted her call to ministry in the spring of 2002. Although born in Evansville, she hails from Chicago, IL and is a graduate of the University of Northern Iowa (BA/Social Work and MA/Education) and Northern Illinois University (Ed.D./Higher Education). She holds the highest volunteer office in the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) as the Moderator and is active in many aspects of the church. She is married to Pastor Gillett and they have one son Jeremy and one granddaughter Jayda. She enjoys helping others with their vocational choices and reading. |

MINISTER JOYCE HIGGINS Minister Higgins accepted her call to ministry in December 2003. She is a native Lexingtonian and is a graduate of Midway College (Associates Degree). Minister Higgins is active with the Women’s Ministry here at ESSCC. Minister Higgins is married to Deacon Richard and has one daughter CaSaundra, and two granddaughters CaLae and CaMarie. She enjoys reading and fellowshipping. |

MINISTER CANDY SMITH Minister Smith accepted her call during the summer of 2002. She is a native Lexingtonian and is pursuing a BS in Political Science at the University of Kentucky and upon completion has been accepted for admission at Lexington Theological Seminary. Minister Smith is active with the Women’s Ministries of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) US and Canada. Minister Smith has two children Christopher and Brittany. Minister Smith enjoys traveling, shopping, and watching TV. |
